A Westport officer stopped Celso Valle, 49, of Bridgeport, near the Fairfield town line at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, according to police. The officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from Valle's vehicle and requested a Fairfield K9 be sent to the scene, police said.

In the search, Fairfield K9 Officer Wells located two mason jars, which contained the substance that goes by the street names Dabs and Honey Oil, police said Thursday. The estimated street value of the 400 grams, according to Westport Police, is about $30,000.

Valle was arrested without incident and charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 13 and was held on $2,500 bond.
