Westport Police received a complaint from the victim on Sept. 16, who said that her ex-husband, Ricardo Andrade, of 1321 North Ave., had showed up at her place of work.

When the victim was leaving her office, Andrade attempted to enter her vehicle, police said.

The victim told police that Andrade then followed her and attempted to force her off the road with his car, police said.

Police said there was an active restraining order in place on Andrade at the time of the alleged offenses.

Andrade turned himself in at the Westport Police Department on Tuesday after learning that there was an active warrant for his arrest, police said.

Andrade was charged with criminal violation of a protective order, breach of peace and illegal operation of a motor vehicle to harass or intimidate, police said.

Andrade was released after posting $10,000 bond. His court date is Sept. 23, according to police.
