On June 21, Westport officers stopped Remington Woodhull, 25, of Westport, as he drove at a high rate of speed, police said.
After he stopped, officers noticed that Woodhull had track marks on his arms and was acting in a strange manner, police said. Based on the officers' training and experience, they believed he had recently used heroin, police said.
Officers asked Woodhull to open his wallet and he complied, police said. Inside, officers found two bags of heroin, police said.
Woodhull was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
Bond was set at $1,000 for Woodhull for a June 28 court date.
