WESTPORT, Conn. — A 24-year-old Westport man is facing drug charges after he told police he procured the hallucinogenic drug that led to a May overdose of a person on Compo Road South, police said Monday.
Josh Rauh, of Wilton Road, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and sale of a hallucinogenic/narcotic drug after police say he told them he had bought the drug DMT over the Internet and had given it to the victim.
Police treated the victim for a suspected drug overdose at the scene, and he was taken to the hospital in the May incident, police said. The victim has since recovered.
Rauh turned himself in on an active warrant Aug. 4, police said.
He was held on $25,000 bond and was expected to appear in court on Aug. 11, police said.
