Westport Man Charged With Drug Possession After Medical Call

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport man was charged with drug possession after officers found heroin when they responded to a medical call, police said.

Andrew Vaitruardrok, 25, was charged with possession of narcotics. He posted $1,000 bond and will appear in court April 21.

Officers responded to a residence in Westport on Saturday for a medical call. During the call, it was discovered that the person's condition was associated with illegal drug activity, according to police reports.

Officers saw in plain view several items associated with illegal drug use, according to police. They ended up seizing several folds of heroin from the residence, and Vaitruardrok was placed under arrest.
