Westport Man, 69, Charged With Dragging Woman, Violating Protective Order

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport man was arrested on June 15 on charges of dragging a woman on the ground and violating a protective order after Westport officers responded to a call for help, police said.

David Price, 69, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call and criminal violation of a protective order after officers responded to call on Hales Court, police said. 

When officers arrived, they reported that a woman was on the ground yelling for help and that Price was dragging her on the ground, police said. Price would not let the woman up and continued to drag her until officers intervened, police said.

He was released on $1,500 bail.
