Westport Man, 21, Charged After Sneaking Vodka Into Restaurant, Police Say

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport police have charged a 21-year-old Westport resident with breach of peace following an incident at a local restaurant.

William Patrick and three other males were kicked out of Viva Zapata, 530 Riverside Ave., for sneaking vodka into the restaurant in a water bottle on Saturday at about 1:30 a.m., police said.

Patrick and the three males reentered the bar, and were asked to leave by the bouncer, according to police.

Patrick took a fighting stance against the bouncer and swung at him, police said.

Police officers responded, took custody of Patrick and charged him with breach of peace, according to officials.

The defendant's bond was set at $500, police report.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, June 16, according to officials.
