WESTON, Conn. -- Weston Police Officer Joe Mogollon has been named as Weston High School's new School Resource Officer by Chief John Troxell.

Mogollon has been a member of the department since 2005, and is currently assigned to patrol and technical investigations. He is also actively involved in the community by giving highly acclaimed Internet Safety Awareness presentations to Weston children and parents over the past five years. 

To prepare for his new duties, Mogollon will be attending the Spector Criminal Justice Training Network School Resource Officer Training Program in August. He will then be assigned to Weston High School for the coming school year.
