WESTPORT, Conn. – A driver was sent to the hospital Saturday evening following a two-car crash in Westport, fire officials said.

The accident happened at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Easton Road and Warnock Drive, Assistant Fire Chief John Plofkin Jr. said in a news release. Firefighters had to extricate the injured driver from the wreckage. The second driver refused medical treatment, Plofkin said.

Easton Road was closed for about an hour by Westport Police while the accident scene was cleared.
