WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Stratford woman who had allegedly smoked marijuana in her car and had cocaine in her purse, ended up in jail after being pulled over for chatting on her cellphone while driving, according to the Westport police.
Jacqueline Hernandez, 34, was arrested Friday when police called a K-9 officer to the scene after smelling what was thought to be marijuana and ended up admitting to having cocaine in her purse before the dog arrived, police said.
Police said the narcotics were seized and tested positive for cocaine with a total weight of 6.3 grams. Hernandez, charged with possession of narcotics, was held on a $2,500 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on Monday, April 4.
