WESTPORT, Conn. — A Stratford man is facing drug charges after he was stopped for allegedly driving erratically on the Sherwood Island Connector on Friday morning, police said.

An officer pulled over Ronald Baldino, 29, of Short Beach Road, for driving erratically and failing to stop for red lights about 9:30 a.m., police said.

He was found to have five wax baggies containing about a gram of heroin, as well as needles and spoons in the car, police said.

Baldino was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was held on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Sept. 19, police said.
