Stratford firefighters came to the rescue and used a 95-foot aerial ladder to rescue them after the Ferris wheel stalled and they were stranded about 25 feet above the ground.

The Stratford Fire Department responded to the carnival at 411 Barnum Ave. to bring the riders to safety.

"Just one of the many incidents, we utilize the height and reach of Truck 1's aerial device for," Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998 said in a Facebook post.

The rescue happened just after 9 p.m., when only the two kids were on the ride, according to the Connecticut Post.

No injuries were reported, and the ride will be reinspected by the State Fire Marshal’s office before any riders hop on, the Post said.

The Rotary Club's carnival, operated by Coleman Brothers Shows, is set up in the parking lot of Stratford Square at 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff and continues through June 5. Check the website for hours.
