The incident came one day after Stamford High School was evacuated due to a phone call that warned of a bomb and a danger to students as they evacuated. Schools in Hartford and West Haven as well as two in Bristol also received bomb threats Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Stamford Police closed off both ends of North Street at the school and set up the bomb squad and officers at Stamford High, just as they had done a day earlier, the Advocate said.

Stamford Academy is a small charter high school for students who have struggled in a traditional school environment or dropped out of school.
