WESTPORT, Conn. A New York man allegedly found sleeping in his car in Westport was charged with DUI after his blood-alcohol level tested more than two-times over the legal limit, police said.
Robert Reeder, 22, was found asleep behind the wheel of a running car near Prospect Road and Greens Farms Road Saturday, police said. The car was in drive and Reeders foot was on the brake, the police report states.
Unable to waken Reeder, officers had to get into the car by breaking the rear passenger window and unlocking the doors in order to shut the engine off. Reeders breath smelled of alcohol, police said.
He failed field sobriety tests, and the results of his breath test were .2125, police said. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on June 26.
