WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport drivers are asked to avoid areas of Greens Farms late Monday afternoon and evening as President Barack Obama arrives in town for a fundraiser, police said.

The president is attending a dinner party fundraiser at the Beachside Avenue home of movie producer Harvey Weinstein. He is expected to arrive via helicopter at Sherwood Island State Park, which is closed Monday.

The most direct route to Weinstein's home from Sherwood Island is to take the Sherwood Island Connector to Nyala Farms Road, and then Greens Farms Road to Beachside Avenue. Motorists can expect traffic delays and “momentary” road closures in these areas, Westport Police Capt. John Calka said in a news release.

Drivers are asked to use caution if they must pass through that area, Calka said.
