Police: Westport Man Pulled Gun On Sister During Fight

WESTPORT, Conn. — A 22-year-old Westport man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with threatening his sister with a gun, police said.

Officers were called to a home on Park Lane at about 2:15 a.m. on a report that resident Michael Palumbo pulled a handgun on his sister during a verbal argument, police said. Palumbo was said to have brandished the weapon, according to the police report.

Palumbo, who police said was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, was charged with first-degree threatening, a felony. He was also charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and possession of a firearm while under the influence, all misdemeanors.

Palumbo was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court later Monday morning.
