Police: Westport Man Charged With Attacking Driver

WESTPORT, Conn. – A 21-year-old Westport man was charged with breach of peace Saturday morning after he allegedly punched a driver in the head, police said.

Alexander Crosby of Wheeler Gate Road reportedly was hassling drivers near the bottom of the Interstate 95 northbound exit ramp, the police report said. He allegedly approached a car that had the driver’s side window open, punched the driver in the head and tried to get into the car, police said.

The driver did not require medical attention, police said. Crosby was taken into custody and later released after posting a $1,000 bond. He is due in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 6.
