Police: Shelton Man Found With Crack, Pipes During Traffic Stop

SHELTON, Conn. — A 51-year-old Shelton man was arrested after officers found two glass smoking pipes containing crack cocaine in his car during a traffic stop, Milford police said.

Harry Ridgway of 13 Horseshoe Drive was stopped for speeding at about noon on Jan. 3 on Wheelers Farm Road in Milford near the border with Orange, police said.  

During the stop, officers found the pipes and drugs, leading to the arrest of Ridgway, police said. 

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. 

He was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 30.
