The department’s Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit received several neighborhood complaints of drug activity at the Stony Brook Bar and Restaurant during the year, police said.

Investigating detectives conducted “numerous” drug buys at the bar and sought warrants for the owner, Angelo Recine, 68, of Bridgeport, and a bartender, Laurie Herb, 51, of Stratford, police said.

On Thursday, Recine was arrested and charged with three counts of sale of cocaine and one count of operating a drug factory, police said.

Herb was charged with four counts of sale of cocaine.

Recine posted a $25,000 bond and Herb posted a $10,000 bond. Each is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Detectives seized cocaine packaged for sale and about $3,500, police said. Items used for preparing and packaging narcotics for street sale and about four ounces of suspected cocaine was also found at both Recine’s home and inside the bar, police said.
