Bobby Megel, 28, solicited the victim to repair dents in her vehicle while she was on the Sherwood Island Connector, police said.
Megel charged the victim $415 and made it appear he had completed repairs. Overtime, the victim said Megel, instead caused more damage to her vehicle, police said.
Megel was charged one day later with multiple counts of scamming Stamford residents as well, including an elderly woman of rougly $3,700, police said.
Megel will appear in court on Wednesday, police said.
