WESTPORT, Conn. — A Westport man was arrested after he walked away from officers who responded to a report of a loud teenage house party on his property, police said.
When officers arrived at the home on Long Lots Road, they saw a large group of teenagers running from the property, police said. They found empty beer cans in plain view on the property and “evidence of a social gathering,” according to police.
Officers approached the homeowner, Fred Busk of 39 Long Lots Road, who became "noncompliant," police said.
Busk walked away from an officer who was attempting to issue him a summons, police said. He was present during the party, police said.
Busk was charged with interfering with an officer and possession of alcohol in public or private locations, police said.
He was released after posting $500 bond. His court date is Sept. 14, police said.
