Bryan Guanoluisa-Arias, 19, of Alexander Avenue, was arrested May 15 and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said. He posted $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 23.

On March 16, an officer responding to an accident on Easton Road learned the driver of the at-fault vehicle had fled the scene. The other driver was injured, but police did not reveal the extent of those injuries.

Once located, the at-fault driver, Guanoluisa-Arias, appeared “very nervous and extremely agitated,” switching topics and having trouble answering simple questions, police said. His behavior led the officer to believe he was driving under the influence of a narcotic, police said.

A search warrant for medical records revealed cannabis in Guanoluisa-Arias’ system, police said.

On May 15, he turned himself in on the active warrant.
