One Person Sent To Hospital After Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Weston

WESTON, Conn. — One person was sent to the hospital after a crash on Newtown Turnpike in Weston on Saturday. Car 3, L6, Engine 3, Rescue 5, and Ambulance 551 responded to the motor vehicle crash in the area of 239 Newtown Turnpike, according to a Facebook post from the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.

"Upon arrival, we found a single vehicle vs. a utility pole with the debris, pole and support cables across the entire roadway," the fire department said. 

One person was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from the crash. 

Newtown Turnpike was closed for about an hour during the cleanup.
