Around 1 p.m., officers were called to Chase Bank on the Post Road East on a report that Roger Harris, 62, of 8th Avenue, was attempting to make a fraudulent withdrawal, police said.
Bank employees noticed the signature Harris gave did not match the victim’s and he couldn’t answer security questions, police said.
Harris also had a fraudulent credit card and driver’s license with the victim’s information, police said.
He was charged with criminal impersonation, unlawful reproduction of a credit card, third-degree forgery, third-degree identity theft and attempt to commit third-degree larceny, police said. He was held on $5,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on August 4.
