Rodney Green, 32, of 89 Richmond Hill Ave., was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace.

An officer on patrol was told by a motorist at about 1 a.m. that a naked man was near the intersection of Washington and Tresser boulevards.

The naked man was yelling and jumping around without a shred of clothes on, said Sgt. Kelly Connelly. The man ignored the officer and proceeded to perform seven "perfectly formed push-ups" with both hands while all the while ranting incoherently, Connelly said.

The man refused to submit to officer's commands, including to be handcuffed, Connelly said. When he would not respond to repeated police demands, he was shot with a Taser in the back, Connelly said.

Officers suspected drugs were involved in the incident and said he had been involved in a similar incident in the past, Connelly said.
