At 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Milford officers went to 112 Home Acres Ave. and found the resident, John Katrick, listening to music in his driveway and appearing to act irrationally, police said.

Officers yelled to Katrick to turn down the music, but he could not hear the officers, who came closer to again give the request, police said.

But Katrick yelled for them to get off his property or he would “bring Satan to their souls,” which he repeated several times, police said.

Officers again asked him to lower the volume, at which point Katrick got into his vehicle and drove it toward them, police said.

But before hitting the officers, Katrick swerved and drove over a neighbor’s lawn, eventually coming to rest in the rear of his own yard, police said.

He then hid in a garage , where officers used a Taser to gain control of him, police said.

Katrick was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace, criminal attempt of assault on a police officer and second-degree criminal mischief.

He was held on $3,000 bond for an appearance in Milford Court on Nov. 13.
