WESTPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was charged with stealing 14 packs of energy drinks from Stop & Shop, police said.
A store security officer detained Louis Bottone, 23, of Funston Street, around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, after he watched him place the energy drinks, valued at $146, in a shopping bag and leave the store without paying, police said.
Bottone was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on $500. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28, police said.
