Broad River:

It is very tragic indeed. It isn't such an unusual occurrence however that drivers rear-end tractor trailers. Something should be done so people don't get confused about distance or even that the trailer may be stationary in the breakdown lane. I lost a friend ( Dr. K ) in 1973 as he was retuning from his M.D.state board exams, to practice in CT., as he plowed into the rear of a trailer. The autopsy showed nothing unusual about his state of health.

What a way to go and what a terrible time and place to be riding a motorcycle (sincerely from a fellow rider).
All the best to his friends and loved ones.
