TRUMBULL, Conn. — The Long Hill Fire Department quickly doused a large pile of burning trash at the transfer station Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post.

Photo Credit: Long Hill Fire DepartmentThe fire units were dispatched at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to the Transfer Station on Spring Hill Road on a report of smoke coming from the building, the post said.
The first arriving chief found a large trash pile on fire, the post said.
Long Hill firefighters handled the incident and returned to service in about an hour.
