Four Newly Trained Firefighters Join Department In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. --  Four probationary firefighters for the Westport Fire Department graduated from the Connecticut Fire Academy on Friday, Dec. 5.

The Recruit Firefighter program is an intense 70-day, 14-week resident course that focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and abilities of a newly hired firefighter.

The ceremony, which was held at the Parsons Government Center in Milford, was attended by Westport First Selectman James Marpe, Fire Chief Andrew Kingsbury, and several members of the Westport Fire Department. 

The four new firefighters who will begin shift work next week are: Christopher Fuchs, Christopher Hope, Robert Lee, and Robert Lenois.
