Mark Monroe, 45, pleaded guilty to four counts of selling drugs, and will serve three years in prison followed by 10 years of special parole, the Hour reported.
Monroe was arrested in Norwalk in February after police said he sold an undercover officer three packages of cocaine weighting about 3.8 grams each. During the course of the investigation into Monroe, he sold cocaine to undercover officers on four separate occasions, two of which happened while he was on duty as a firefighter, police said.

After a search warrant was executed at Monroe's home, investigators found five additional bags of cocaine weighing a total of 12.35 grams, as well as five Alprazolam pills, 152 Cialis pills, and 21 pills with no markings, police said. The pills were not stored in their proper containers, and appear to have been illegally obtained controlled prescription pills, police said. Officers also recovered 11 vials of suspected steroids, and 300 hypodermic needles, police said.
Monroe is scheduled to begin serving his sentence on Feb. 15, and a judge told him at his court appearance on Friday that if he did appear in court on Feb. 15, he would face the maximum sentence of 60 years in prison, according to the Hour.
