WESTPORT, Conn. — A 36-year-old Fairfield woman was arrested on charges of larceny, accused of double-paying herself at her Westport job and direct-depositing the funds, Westport police said.

Tran Huynh-Storch turned herself in to Westport police on Tuesday, Sept. 8,  after learning that there was a warrant for her arrest, police said.

The arrest warrant stemmed from a larceny complaint received from her employer in February, police said.

An employee at a Post Road East business, Huynh-Storch embezzled over $71,000 by double-paying herself in her paycheck and direct depositing the money between July 15, 2011, and January 2015, police said.

Huynh-Storch was charged with first-degree larceny. She was released on $75,000 bond and issued a court date of Sept. 23.

The criminal complaint was investigated by the Westport Police Department's Detective Bureau.
