Fairfield Officially Welcomes New Fire School

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Regional Fire School opened officially on May 17.

Bridgeport fire officials, were on hand to tour the new facility and commemorate the occasion. 

The new school is one of eight in the state and was built for $11.8 million. Features include classrooms, a three-bay apparatus building, pads for propane fire training and a large building and tower for active fire training.

The school will also be available to fire teams throughout the region from Rhode Island to New Jersey.
