Around 6 p.m., one woman saw the three kids, who appeared to be around 13, drop a small bike on a neighbor’s lawn and make off with an orange Mongoose bike valued at $275, police said.

She called a third neighbor, who was driving home and saw the teens with the stolen bike on Old Post Road near the traffic circle, police said.

That woman stopped near the kids and yelled “I just watched you steal that bike! Give it back!”

The teens dropped the bike and ran, leaving the neighbors with the stolen bike and the second one the boys had left behind, which was valued at $100, police said.
