WESTPORT, Conn. – Former Westport resident Sygun Liebhart , a 71-year-old woman arrested in January on a prostitution charge in Glastonbury, will not serve any jail time, the Hartford Courant reports .
Liebhart will instead complete an accelerated rehabilitation program, a special form of probation for first-time offenders of nonviolent crimes. If she successfully completes the program, the prostitution charge may be dismissed, the Courant reports.
Liebhart was arrested Jan. 25 after police said she arranged to have sex for money at the Homewood Suites in Glastonbury. Earlier that day, police answered an ad she allegedly placed on the escort section of the website Backpage.com, police said.
That night, an undercover officer was sent to Liebhart’s hotel room. She was arrested, police said, after she made a deal to perform sexual acts for money. She was charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor.
