Elderly Bridgeport Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Car

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — An 81-year-old man struck by a hit-and-driver in front of his Bridgeport home late Saturday died of his injuries early Sunday, according to the Connecticut Post.  

An investigation conducted by Bridgeport, Norwalk and state police resulted in the arrest of a Bridgeport man on charges related to drug possession and sale.

Gasper Esteves was in front of his home at 202-204 Arlington St. near his parked 2003 Ford Ranger when a westbound white SUV hit him near Madison Terrace and fled, police said.

He died at St. Vincent’s Hospital a few hours later, the Post said.
