Joseph Segui 23 of Ansonia was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right after he crashed his car into a home at 1734 Broadbridge Ave., police said.

The crash occurred just after 3a.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported, but the front porch of the home was damaged as was a vehicle parked in the driveway, police said.

Segui was freed on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on July 18.

It's third time in four years that a car has hit the home, NBC Connecticut said.

Homeowner Paulo Jorge told NBC that he was awakened when the entire house began to shake and found broken glass all over his living room.

The car took out a column, the front steps and part of the front door, NBC said. Four years ago, a car landed in the bushes and two years ago one hit the porch, NBC said.

The home is at a T-intersection of Broadbridge Avenue and Canaan Road.
