Driver Extricated From Car After Hitting Tree In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — A driver who lost control of her car almost drove into a pharmacy in Norwalk after hitting a tree on Sunday, according to the Hour.

Fire officials told the Hour that the driver, a woman in her late 50s, lost control of her station wagon on Gardner Street. After sideswiping a tree, she almost hit a Walgreens on the corner of West Avenue and Gardner Street, coming to a rest a couple inches away from the building, according to the Hour.

The Norwalk Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated the driver, who was semi-conscious at the scene, according to the Hour. After she was removed from the car she was taken to Norwalk Hospital, the Hour reported.
