Dispute Between Teen, Mother's Boyfriend Gets Physical, New Canaan PD Says

A teen and his mother's 48-year-old boyfriend were arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with each other in New Canaan, police said.

The dispute between Todd Givens of Stamford and the unidentified 16-year-old teen took place around 8:30 p.m. Friday on Gerdes Road, said the New Canaan Police Department.

Responding officers found that the two were involved in a physical altercation in the driveway of the home, police said.

Both received minor injuries but declined medical attention.

Givens and the teen were arrested for disorderly conduct, the teen is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. Givens is scheduled to appear Monday, New Canaan Police said.
