WESTPORT, Conn. – A Darien man was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend in Westport on Wednesday, according to Westport police.
Ramil Mansourov, 46, was charged with second-degree stalking after officers responded to a call about 7 p.m. from Post Road West on a report of a man stalking his ex-girlfriend, police said.
The woman had seen Mansourov looking in her vehicle in the parking lot, police said. When officers arrived, the woman approached them with Mansourov behind her, police said.
He was detained by officers, and further investigation revealed the Mansourov was involved in similar stalking incidents in Stamford, according to the police report.
Mansourov was released on $2,500 bond and was due to appear in court Thursday in Norwalk. Mansourov was given conditions of release whereby he was to have no contact at all with the woman.
But one hour after he was released from police custody, Mansourov emailed the victim several times, police said. He was located at a bar in Darien by Darien police and was arrested and transported to the Westport Police Department for a second time, officials say.
He was charged with violation of conditions of release and second-degree harassment and held on $250,000 bond until his Thursday court date, according to the report.
