Darien Man Accused Of Trying To Abduct Former Girlfriend In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. -- A man from Darien was detained on $250,000 bond on charges of attempting to abduct his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday in Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post.

The woman's vehicle was reportedly set afire by 29-year-old Pedro Oristanio when the attempted abduction was a failure, Capt. Frank Eannotti told the Connecticut Post.

Oristanio was arrested later in New Canaan and charged with second-degree arson, attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, criminal mischief and threatening, the Connecticut Post said.
