Danbury Man Died Of Electrocution At Job Site, Wilton Police Say

WILTON, Conn., -- A 44-year-old Danbury man died as a result of electrocution, the state's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said after completing an autopsy on the worker who had collapsed at a Wilton job site Thursday afternoon.

Marcos Silva, also known as Marcos DaSilva, collapsed at about 12:30 p.m. while working at 31 Rivergate Drive.

A preliminary police investigation found that an employee of KTI Utility Construction of Wilton, an Eversource subcontractor, was in the process of placing a pole when Silva fell down to the ground from a standing position for an unknown reason, police said. 

He was taken to Norwalk Hospital, but could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead, police said.

Silva was employed at the time of the incident by KTI Utility Construction of Wilton. 

The investigation is continuing, Wilton Police said.
