Jonathan Garces, 22, and Alondra Aracil, 19, were found by officers while "actively siphoning cooking oil from the tank" located at the back of the Five Guys restaurant in Westport, police said.

Police had been alerted to a report of a white van with New York plates and the attempted theft of cooking oil at Five Guys.

Garces was charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and violation of a protective order — because he isn't allowed to have contact with Aracil. He was held on $1,500 bond.

Aracil was charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny as well as criminal impersonation after she gave a fake name and date of birth to officers, and interfering with an officer. She was held on $1,000 bond.

Both will appear July 26 in court.
