WESTPORT, Conn. — A 32-year-old woman from Bridgeport was arrested on drug charges after heroin was found in a car during a traffic stop early Wednesday in Westport, police said.
After stopping the car, the officer saw drug paraphernalia in plain view in the center console, police said.
The officer asked for and received consent to search the vehicle, police said.
Additional drug paraphernalia was recovered, and heroin more paraphernalia was found in the possession of the passenger in the front seat, police said.
Danielle Mainiero was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $1,500 bond and issued a date to appear at Norwalk court.
