Bridgeport Man Charged With Stealing From Westport Office Eight Years Ago

WESTPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested Sunday on an active warrant stemming from the theft of a wallet from an employee's purse at a Westport office park eight years ago, police said. 

Marvin Robinson was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny Sunday, police said.

Westport officers went to the Bridgeport Police Department on Sunday and took custody of Marvin Robinson, 55, of 1001 Old Town Road, police said.

The larceny was reported to the Westport Police Department on Aug. 17, 2007, by a company in the Greens Farms Office Park on Greens Farms Road. Suspects had entered a business there during working hours and stolen an employee’s wallet from a purse, police said.

The suspects then used the stolen credit cards at stores in Fairfield, police said. Another suspect was also arrested in connection with this investigation, police said.

Robinson was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, police said. His bond was set at $2,500 for an Aug. 20 court date, police said.
