Bridgeport Man Charged In Norwalk With Hitting Car With Tire Iron

NORWALK, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was charged with threatening a fellow bar patron and smashing their car with a tire iron in Norwalk early Sunday morning, according to the Hour.

Police were called to the area of a bar on Commerce Street at around 3:40 a.m. on a report of a man armed with a knife, the Hour reported. Witnesses told officers that the man, 32-year-old Juan Moreno of Bridgeport, had threatened another bar patron, then followed that person and hit their car numerous times with a tire iron before driving away, according to the Hour.

Police stopped Moreno on Wall Street and found the tire iron in his car, according to the Hour. They also found a small bag of cocaine, police told the Hour.

Moreno was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, criminal mischief and possession of narcotics. His bond was set at $10,000 and he will appear in court June 29.
