After failing to appear in court in June on shoplifting charges, Milford resident Kristen McCann was brought into the Westport Police Department by a bail enforcement agent on a warrant Saturday morning.
According to police, McCann, 37, was arrested June 16 for allegedly stealing four cans of baby formula from Stop & Shop on Post Road East. The cans of formula, which were found in her purse, are worth a total of $99.96. In addition to sixth-degree larceny, she was charged with second-degree failure to appear. She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 7.

? Christopher Cook, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was arrested early Saturday after making an illegal left turn. Police reportedly spotted Cook, 37, turning onto Treadwell Avenue from Saugatuck Avenue, where a "No Left Turn" sign is posted. Cook was then seen crossing the double yellow centerline on Treadwell Avenue. Once Cook was pulled over, the officer smelled on his breath. Cook refused breath tests and failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with operating under the influence, violation of traffic commission regulations and failure to drive right. He is due in court Nov. 24.
