The Westport Fire Department responded to the accident at the school on Beachside Avenue, where construction was underway on a new performing arts building.
About 100 feet of scaffolding collapsed with workers on it, fire officials said. Westport EMS arrived on the scene and checked four workers, three of whom were taken to Norwalk Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and responded to the scene, as did the Westport Fire Marshal's office. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
