WESTPORT, Conn. - Marvin Weinberg of Westport died July 7. He was 91.
Weinberg was born May 23, 1922, in New Haven. He attended Hillhouse High School in New Haven and Boston University and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
A certified public accountant, he began his career in New Haven with his father, Samuel, and then worked at Weinstein and Timm, and Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.
After his marraige, he lived in Hamden until last year, when he moved to Westport to be closer to his children. He was a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and served on the board of the Connecticut AAA. After retiring from Deloitte, he continued his accounting work.
Weinberg is survived by his children, Philip (Bethany Lyttle) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sally (Bob Biglin) of Greenwich, and Louis of Westport; and three grandchildren.
