Virginia F. Zullo, 87, Hairdresser In Westport

NORWALK, Conn. - Virginia Frances Zullo of Norwalk died Friday, May 8. She was 87.

Zullo was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Greenwich, the daughter of James and Carmella Perry Pioli and lived in Norwalk for most of her life. She worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years in Westport and Rowayton.

Zullo is survived by her children, John James Zullo of Norwalk and Robin Constance Lisi (Dominic) of Trumbull; two granddaughters; sisters, Marie Calabrese of Greenwich and Josephine Cook of Fairfield; many nieces, nephews; cousins; and caregiver, Patience Akuamoah. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Zullo; and siblings, Floyd Pioli and Gloria Ehlers.

Calling hours are Monday, May 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
